I’ve always wanted to be a fashion designer.
My love for creating clothing began with my grandmother, who taught me how to sew. What started as something I learned from her became a creative outlet, a skill, and eventually a dream of building something of my own.
That dream became Shee Studios.
The name is personal—it’s my surname, but it also represents the person behind every piece. I’m Japanese, Chinese, and Mexican, and my connection to these cultures has been shaped by family, travel, and a genuine love for their fashion, artistry, and design.
Those influences naturally find their way into my work. I draw inspiration from traditional silhouettes, prints, and details, then reinterpret them through a more modern lens. The goal isn’t to recreate traditional clothing, but to take elements that I love and turn them into pieces that feel current, feminine, and effortless.
Made by One Person
Shee Studios is intentionally small.
I design every piece, source the fabrics, cut the patterns, and sew each garment myself. When you place an order, I make your piece specifically for you rather than producing hundreds of garments in advance.
That’s what made-to-order means here: less excess, more intention, and more care put into every piece that leaves the studio.
There is something special about knowing exactly who made your clothes. Every garment represents hours of work, from the first idea to the final stitch. And because I’m personally involved in every step, I can pay attention to the little details that can easily get lost in mass production.
Why Slow Fashion?
Fashion moves incredibly fast. I wanted to build something that didn’t have to.
Shee Studios isn’t about constantly producing more. It’s about creating pieces that you genuinely want to wear, keep, and come back to.
Making each garment to order takes more time, but it also means I’m not producing large quantities of clothing just for the sake of having inventory. It’s a slower, more thoughtful way of creating—and for me, it’s the only way I want to build this brand.
A Dream Still Being Built
Shee Studios is still a small business, and I’m building it one piece at a time.
My experience working in the dresswear industry has taught me so much about what happens behind the scenes of a clothing business—from design and production to customer service, shipping, and returns. But Shee Studios gives me the opportunity to bring all of that experience together with the thing I’ve wanted to do for as long as I can remember: design and make clothing of my own.
There isn’t a large team behind Shee Studios. There isn’t a factory producing thousands of pieces.
There’s me.
My ideas, my hands, my time, and a dream that started with my grandmother teaching me how to sew.
So when you choose a Shee Studios piece, you’re choosing something made differently. Something made slowly. Something made by hand.
And you’re helping a small designer keep building the dream, one garment at a time.
